Associate Professor Rachael Morton, PhD, MScMed(Clin Epi)(Hons), is an academic health economist. Her program of research at the NHMRC Clinical Trials Centre aims to build better methods to assess health economic outcomes in clinical trials (using cost-effectiveness analysis, patient preferences, quality of life and wellbeing measures); as well as innovative methods to assess the health economic value of clinical research. Disease areas include cancer (especially melanoma skin cancer), cardiovascular disease, perinatal medicine and kidney disease. A/Prof Morton is interested in methods to prioritise research, and consumer engagement in clinical trials.
In her spare time A/Prof Morton enjoys cycling and snorkelling around Sydney’s beaches.
